Porkot 6 Kota Tangerang 14-19 November 2018

Dalam rangka mencari bibit atlit guna persiapan Porprov banten yang akan di laksanakan di Kota tangerang Tahun 2022 mendatang Kota tangerang melalui dinas pendidikan dan olahraga menggelar porkot dengan tujuan memperoleh atlit yang benar2 berkualitas sehingga masa yang kurang lebih 4 tahun mendatang ini benar benar akan di gunakan untuk persiapan atlit yang akan berlaga di ajang porprov mendatang.

Acara ini menjadi agenda tahunan yang untuk tahun 2018 ini jatuh pada tanggal 14-19 november dan acara pembukaan di laksanakan di lapangan ahmad yani kota tangerang.Hadir sebagai pembuka acara Porkot 6 Kota Tangerang 14-19 November 2018 yaitu Wali Kota Tangerang Arief.Untuk pelaksanaan per cabang di bagi di beberapa tempat yang ada di kota Tangerang.Menurut Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan olahraga Kota Tangerang yaitu Dedi Suhada dalam sambutanya di acara pembukaan.

Kepala dinas menyampaikan bahwa dengan adanya porkot yang rencananya akan di gelar setiap tahun ini akan menghasilkan atlet-atlet berbakat dimasing-masing cabang olahraga (cabor).Porkot ke 6 ini akan mempertandingkan 9 Cabor yaitu atletik taekwondo silat karate futsal bola voli indoor catur  serta bola basket sepak bola.Dari sembilan cabor ini ada  2457 atlit dan pelatih yang akan terlibat di dalamnya.

Selain dari pada itu, Walikota Tangerang, Arief R Wismansyah yang menjadi pembuka acara mengatakan, Acara ini dilaksanakan sebagai cara bagi Pemerintah kota Tangerang untuk meningkatkan mutu dan kualitas pembinaan serta mencari bibit bibit atlet potensial.

“Ini akan menjadi langkah awal bagi atlet untuk menunjukkan kualitasnya ,” kata  Arief R. Sementara itu dalam sambutanya Walikota Tangerang juga mengapresiasi pencapaian  atlet yang telah berjuang mengharumkan nama Kota Tangerang di pentas Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Porprov) Banten ke-lima yang baru saja di laksanakan di Kabupaten Tangerang.Pada ajang Porprov Banten, Kota Tangerang berhasil meraih juara II.Dan ini cukup membanggakan karena kontingen Kota tangerang seluruhnya adalah warga asli masyarakat Kota Tangerang yang telah di bina dan tidak ada atlit dari luar,”menurut arif.

Dalam ajang Porprov adalah saatnya bagi masing masing daerah  berlomba mencari medali sebanyak banyaknya tidak jarang dari masing masing daerah mencari atlit dari luar daerah atau yang biasa di sebut atlit cabutan,namun kota tangerang semua atlitnya adalah warga kota tangerang. Dan ini sangat membaggakan karena sebagai warga kota tangerang para atlet berprestasi yang telah memberikan seluruh kemampuan terbaiknya, baik di level kota, provinsi maupun nasional.

Dalam acara pembukaan Porkot 6 Kota Tangerang 14-19 November 2018 ini juga sekaligus pembagian hadiah untuk atlit Popda yang telah meraih juara pada ajang popda yang lalu.
