Tangerang, Agustus 2025 — Prestasi membanggakan kembali ditorehkan oleh pelajar dari Kota Tangerang. Rehan, siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 9 Kota Tangerang, sukses meraih medali emas dalam ajang Kejuaraan Taekwondo Dispora Beraksi 2025, yang digelar di Kota Tangerang pada bulan Agustus lalu. Ia turun di kategori Semi Prestasi dan berhasil mengungguli sejumlah lawan dari berbagai sekolah dan klub taekwondo se-Tangerang.
Kejuaraan yang diadakan oleh Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga (Dispora) Kota Tangerang ini menjadi panggung Kedua Rehan dalam dunia kompetisi taekwondo. Meskipun baru Kedua kali mengikuti kejuaraan resmi, Rehan menunjukkan performa luar biasa di atas matras.
Dengan semangat juang tinggi dan teknik yang telah diasah selama berbulan-bulan latihan, Rehan berhasil menaklukkan lawan-lawannya satu per satu hingga mencapai partai final. Di babak penentuan, Rehan tampil tenang dan taktis, hingga akhirnya dinyatakan sebagai juara dan menyabet medali emas.
“Awalnya saya sangat gugup karena ini kejuaraan kedua saya. Tapi saya ingat pesan pelatih yang juga merupakan kakak saya untuk tetap fokus dan percaya diri. Alhamdulillah, bisa memberikan yang terbaik,” ujar Rehan dengan senyum bangga.
Kategori Semi Prestasi adalah kategori yang ditujukan bagi atlet pemula atau yang sedang dalam tahap pengembangan menuju tingkat prestasi. Kemenangan Rehan di kategori ini menunjukkan bahwa ia memiliki potensi besar untuk berkembang lebih jauh di dunia taekwondo.
Orang tua Rehan yg juga seorang pelatih Taekwondo turut memberikan apresiasi. “Rehan adalah anak yang tekun, disiplin, dan selalu mau belajar. Medali emas ini adalah hasil dari kerja keras dan dedikasinya selama latihan,” katanya.
Keberhasilan Rehan dalam kejuaraan ini diharapkan bisa menjadi titik awal dari perjalanan panjangnya di dunia olahraga, khususnya taekwondo.
