Akhirnya italia berhasil menjadi juara uero 2021 setelah mengalahkan inggris dengan skor 3-2 dari hasil adu pinalty.

Pertandingan yang di laksanakan di Wembley, pada hari senin  (12/juli/2021) dini hari WIB, di babak awal Inggris mendapat gol cepat di menit kedua. Umpan silang Kieran Trippier berhasil disambar Luke Shaw yang mengarahkan bola ke tiang dekat.

Italia mencoba memberi perlawanan selepas tertinggal 0-1. Ada peluang dari tendangan bebas Lorenzo Insigne, yang arah bolanya masih melambung sedikit di atas gawang Inggris.

Inggris tak main bertahan setelah mendapat keunggulan. Tim besutan Gareth Southgate justru menyulitkan Gli Azzurri dengan permainan cepat di sisi lapangan.

Sampai laga berjalan 20 menit, Italia masih kesulitan masuk ke kotak penalti Inggris. Permainan bola-bola panjang Azzurri kerap mentok di sepertiga akhir pertahanan lawan.

Insigne melepaskan tembakan spekulasi dari luar kotak penalti di menit ke-27. Upaya dari winger Italia itu masih belum menemui sasaran.

Dalam permainan Inggris bermain jauh lebih tenang dibanding italia. Mason Mount dkk. sangat berhati- hati pada saat dalam penguasaan bola.

Selanjutnya Inggris gantian mengancam di menit yang 36. Shaw memberikan umpan silang mendatar ke depan mistar gawang Italia, tapi bola berhasil di halau oleh Emerson Palmieri.

Selanjutnya Italia melepaskan tembakan ke gawang di menit ke 45 melalui kaki Marco Verratti, namun Jordan Pickford sang penjaga gawang masih dengan mudah menangkap bola. dan akhitnya  sampai turun minum Tak ada gol tambahan .

Dibabak kedua gantian Italia memperoleh peluang pada menit ke-50 melalui tendangan bebas tepat di depan gawang Inggris. Bola yang dieksekusi Insigne masih sedikit melebar dari sasaran.

Selanjutnya Pelatih Roberto Mancini membuat perubahan pada menit ke 55 dengan mengganti Nicolo Barella dan Ciro Immobile. Kedunya pemain tersebut digantikan oleh Bryan Cristante dan Domenico Berardi.

Perubahan ini membuat Chiesa berpindah ke posisi kiri dan hampir berbuah gol di menit ke 57. Bola tendangan Chiesa memantul ke Insigne, yang dari jarak yang begitu dekat melepaskan tendangan tapi masih bisa ditepis Jordan Pickford.

Italia akhirnya bisa menyamakan skor di menit ke 67. Sebuah kemelut di kotak penalti Inggris dari umpan sepak pojok diselesaikan oleh Leonardo Bonucci.

Team Italia mengalami kerugian pada laga ini. Chiesa yang dari awal tampil sangat bagus ditarik keluar pada menit ke 86 disebabkan mengalami cidera dan di gantikan oleh Federico Bernardeschi.

Sampai di menit 90 Tak ada gol tambahan dan akhirnya  Italia vs Inggris  lanjut ke tambahan 2×15 menit yang pada khirnya juga tidak ada perubahan dan selanjutnya di lakukan adu pinalty.

Dari adu pinalty tersebut akhirnya Italia Berhasil Menjadi Juara Euro Setelah Adu Pinalti 3-2 Vs Inggris.
