Kisah Sebenarnya Pangeran Samudra di Gunung Kemukus, Tak Ada Ajakan Ritual Seks

Gunung Kemukus, banyak cerita mistis tentang tempat tersebut dan umumnya Masyarakat mengenal tempat ini sebagai tempat ritual seks terselubung guna meminta Pesugihan Dan ternyata anggapan tersebut justru muncul akibat pembelokan makna yang sengaja dilakukan oleh oknum tertentu, berkaitan dengan sejarah hidup Pangeran Samudra. Berdasarkan cerita sejarah, Pangeran Samudra merupakan salah satu putra dari Prabu Brawijaya dari istri selir  merupakan raja terakhir Kerajaan Majapahit. Ia melakukan perjalanan mencari Sunan Kalijaga untuk berguru agama Islam. Kala itu, saat kerajaan Majapahit runtuh, para pangeran pun berpencar. Ada yang memeluk agama Islam, ada pindah ke Bali lalu memeluk agama Hindu, serta ada pula yang tetap memeluk agama Hindu dan tinggal di Jawa.

Berikut ini Perjalanan singkat Pangeran Samudra

Kisah Pangeran Samudra tersebut disampaikan oleh Guru Besar Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Prof  Bani Sudardi. Dan Ia menjelaskan bahwa Pangeran Samudra merupakan putra Prabu Brawijaya yang memeluk agama Islam. Pada Suatu ketika, Pangeran Samudra meninggalkan tempat orangtuanya, yaitu istana Prabu Brawijaya, untuk menemui Sunan Kalijaga
Oleh Sunan Kalijaga, Pangeran Samudra diminta untuk menyebarkan agama Islam di daerah sekitar Gunung Lawu. Di tempat itu juga ada saudara Pangeran Samudra yang sudah terlebih dulu mememeluk agama Islam.
Singkat cerita Setelah tugasnya selesai, Pangeran Samudra meninggalakan Gunung Lawu dan menuju ke arah Barat Laut, menuruni gunung. Tetapi dalam perjalanannya, pangeran mengalami sakit yang sampai membuatnya berjalan terhuyung huyung atau doyong. Menurut Bani, daerah tempat Pangeran Samudra sakit terhuyung atau doyong tersebut akhirnya diberi nama Desa Doyong . Dan ketika Pangeran Samudra akan melanjutkan perjalanannya ke sebelah utara, ia pun meninggal di sana. Desa itu dinamakan Pendem, berarti tempat memendam mayatnya Pangeran Samudra.
“Pangeran Samudra berpesan agar dimakamkan di sebuah gunung, yang mana karena gunung tersebut berkabut, maka disebutlah sebagai Gunung Kemukus. Sebenarnya gunung ini tidak tinggi, cuma daerahnya memang lebih tinggi dari daerah sekitar.” kata Bani Sudardi kepada media.

Kesalahan anggapan hubungan Pangeran Samudra dan ibu tirinya Pangeran Samudra nyatanya tidak memiliki cinta dalam artian asmara kepada Dewi Ontrowulan, ibu tirinya. Seperti di jelaskan Bani bahwa hubungan mereka berdua hanya sebatas kasih sayang layaknya ibu dan anak. Ketika Pangeran Samudra pergi meninggalkan Majapahit, Dewi Ontrowulan ingin pergi mencari keberadaan sang anak karena lama tak bertemu. “Walaupun  daerahnya sebatas Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur, tapinamun pada jaman dahulu hanya bisa ditempuh dengan berjalan kaki,” ucap Bani.
Berita meninggalnya Pangeran Samudra Pada akhirnya terdengar sampai di telinga Dewi Ontrowulan, pada saat ia dalam perjalanan. Setelah mendapatkan info lokasi pemakaman putra tirinya, Dewi Ontrowulan langsung menuju Gunung Kemukus. Tapi, akibat kelelahan dalam perjalanan panjang yang berbulan-bulan lamanya, Dewi Ontrowulan pun meninggal dunia. Sebelum meninggal, ia berpesan agar dimakamkan di samping kuburan Pangeran Samudra. “Jadi, bukan dimakamkan bersama, tapi dimakamkan di samping anaknya. Biasa itu, karena rasa sayangnya, sampai meninggal pun ia ingin ada di samping anaknya,” tutur Prof Bani.

Rumor tentang ritual seks Gunung Kemukus dan pergeseran makna

Bani Sudari menyebut rumor ini sebagai salah satu bentuk interpretasi dan pergeseran makna. Pangeran Samudra kabarnya pernah mengajarkan bahwa jika hendak mencari tuhan, hendaklah seseorang datang seperti mengunjungi kekasihnya. Namun Orang-orang justru menginterpretasikan pesan itu dengan “berkasih-kasihan”. Padahal maksud pangeran Samudra ialah, jika ingin bersatu dengan tuhan, maka kita datang kepada Tuhan ini seperti mendatangi kekasih. “Mendatangi kekasih itu harus dengan versi terbaik diri dengan perasaan yang gembira dan rindu,” kata Bani.

Sementara itu, pemilihan waktu ritual yang biasanya dilakukan masyarakat saat Jumat Pon dikarenakan lantaran bertepatan dengan hari meninggalnya Pangeran Samudera. Bani melanjutkan, rumor Pangeran Samudra mengajarkan melakukan seks bebas seperti itu sangat jauh dari kebenaran. Padahal, ia adalah seorang ulama yang mendapat ajaran langsung dari Sunan Kalijaga. “Sunan Kalijaga sendiri terkenal sebagai wali yang bersih, serta memiliki ajaran yang lurus, yang mana ajarannya juga sangat erat dengan etika,” jelasnya

Menurut sejarah, nyatanya informasi terkait ritual seks bebas ini tidak ditemukan dari naskah-naskah abad ke-19. Menurut kajian Bani Sudardi, tidak ada catatan jelas terkait kapan Gunung Kemukus dijadikan tempat ritual seks, tetapi diperkirakan setelah abad ke-19. Ini lantaran dalam catatan abad ke-19 berupa Serat Centhini. belum ada disebutkan terkait situs bernama Gunung Kemukus. “Jadi setelah masa itulah, mungkin setelah abad ke-19 sampai awal abad ke-20, baru ada ritual seks seperti itu, menurut perkiraan saya saat ini,” terangnya.
Kesalahan interpretasi ini bahkan menimbulkan ritual seks yang bersumber dari mulut ke mulut, bukan dari ajaran nyata Pangeran Samudra. Ritual seks disebutkan telah ada sejak zaman Majapahit, bagi para penghayat kepercayaan Bhairawa, dan ini berlanjut meski tertutup. “Kalau ritual zaman dulu, ada karena salah kaprah dari kepercayaan atau anggapan bahwa untuk bersatu dengan Tuhan, dapat dilaksanakan lewat cara ini. Tetapi kalau di Gunung Kemukus, ritual ini adalah ritual untuk mendapatkan kekayaan,” kata Bani. Mulai sekitar tahun 1950-an pasca kemerdekaan, saat krisis ekonomi, datanglah orang-orang yang percaya dengan melakukan ritual seks selama 7 kali berturut-turut, maka salah satu dari yang melakukan itu akan mendapat rejeki berlimpah, sementara pasangan yang satunya akan mengalami kemelaratan.
 

Meskipun demikian, pemerintah Jawa Tengah tetap berupaya untuk menghapus stigma negatif tentang Gunung Kemukus. Bahkan kini banyak peziarah yang berkunjung ke makam Pangeran Samudra dan ibunya, Dewi Ontrowulan, untuk berdoa. Sekarang pemerintah Jawa Tengah telah membangun lokasi tersebut, menjadi konsep wisata keluarga. Inilah yang diharapkan dapat membuat orang sadar, bahwa Pangeran Samudra adalah tokoh agama yang patut didoakan.
