Ujian Kenaikan Tingkat Taekwondo Kota Tangerang Periode 2 Tahun 2023

Pengurus Kota Taekwondo Indonesia (PENGKOT TI)Kota Tangerang menggelar Ujian Kenaikan Tingkat (UKT) Geup/Sabuk periode ke 2 tahun 2023. Bertempat di PUSPEM Kota Tangerang , pada Minggu, 20 Agustus 2023 dan di ikuti total sebanyak 1989 peserta dari 26 club yang ada di Kota Tangerang.

Hadir dalam kesempatan itu Kepala Dinas Pemuda Olahraga (Dispora) Kota Tangerang, Kaonang mewakili Walikota Tangerang Arief Rachadiono Wismansyah dan juga membuka ujian kenaikan tingkat (UKT) Kota Tangerang.  Dalam sambutanya Kaonang menegaskan Pemerintah Kota Tangerang memberi apresiasi tinggi atas pencapaian atlet-atlet pelajar yang merebut prestasi tertinggi. Dikatakannya, kini bagi atlet pelajar SMA sederajat lulusan tahun 2021, 2022 dan 2023 ada apresiasi beasiswa kuliah gratis sampai lulus di Universitas Yatsi Madani, Tangerang.

“Tahun 2024 Kota Tangerang menjadi tuan rumah penyelenggaraan Pekan Olahraga Pelajar Daerah XI, kami menaruh harapan besar kepada taekwondo cabang Kota Tangerang mampu menorehkan prestasi gemilang, menjadi juara umum dalam arena olahraga pelajar terakbar Provinsi Banten ini,” ungkap Kepala Dispora Kaonang didampingi Kepala Bidang Olahraga Dispora Jejen Jaenudin.

Taekwondo Kota Tangerang, sambung Kaonang terus melakukan pembinaan terhadap atlet-atlet muda sehingga nantinya mereka diharapkan menjadi olahragawan juara di tingkat regional, nasional dan internasional.

Sementara itu  Pelatih taekwondo Kota Tangerang Ahmad Sopiyan menjelaskan pada UKT ini ada sebanyak 136 atlet dari berbagai klub di Kota Tangerang. Mereka yang mengikuti UKT ini yakni sabuk biru ke atas.

“Menghadapi Popda XI Banten 2024, cabang olahraga taekwondo Kota Tangerang menargetkan juara umum. Untuk merebut juara umum itu, kini kami telah menyiapkan atlet-atlet andal,”tuturnya.

Dalam kesempatan ini juga hadir  Edi suyanto SE.MM( Ketua Umum Taekwondo Kota Tangerang) Bambang Purnomo(ketua harian taekwondo kota tangerang)dan beberapa pengurus dan Pelatih Puslatcab.Ketua Umum TI Kota Tangerang, Sbmnim Edi Suyanto dalam sambutanya mengatakan, kegiatan ini merupakan program rutin Pengkot TI Kota Tangerang yang diselenggarakan rutin  3 kali dalam setahun. UKT ini diselenggarakan tak lain untuk meningkatkan kualitas anggota dari ujian sabuk putih, kuning, hijau, biru, merah.

“Jadi setiap 3-4 bulan dalam satu tahun kita selenggarakan uji kenaikan tingkat,” ujarnya .

Sbmnim Edi Suyanto berharap, dengan terlaksananya kegiatan ini semoga bisa menanamkan karakter, etika dan kemandirian serta menangkis kegiatan negatif yang dilakukan oleh anak.

“Kita akan mencari bibit terbaik dan menggali potensi Atlet TI Kota Tangerang dari usia dini,” tuturnya.
